Award-winning Renovation

Elysium Properties were engaged by the client to work alongside Ian Slater Architectural Design in the 21st century update of this Grade II listed home. Taking over the Project Management from the end of the concept stage, Elysium set about implementing Ian’s design, by skilful workmanship and considered procurement of materials, using ancient methods alongside modern techniques to sympathetically harmonise the original character of The Dove House with bold innovation.

Any renovation of this size encounters the unknown, whether damp, dry rot, woodworm or hidden asbestos; flexible adaption and speedy resolvement is paramount. Historical beams, framing and joists were sourced and handpicked by Elysium, from across the South of England, to create the beautiful inner hall that now houses the stunning ‘floating’ staircase.

Bespoke doors to match the existing were hand crafted on site, traditional limework and Chestnut laths used along side structural glass and stainless steel.
